Roosevelt Road Specialty appoints Brendan Cook as CUO of Property

Roosevelt Road Specialty, a specialty managing general underwriter, has appointed Brendan Cook as Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) of Property.
In this role, Cook will lead the company’s property underwriting strategy, overseeing risk selection, portfolio management, and underwriting innovation across the platform.
He brings more than 20 years of industry experience, with deep expertise in property underwriting, reinsurance management, catastrophe strategy, and operational leadership.
Cook joins Roosevelt Road Specialty from RB Jones (formerly Global Excess Partners), where he served as Vice President & Managing Director. In that role, he oversaw all aspects of property underwriting and operations, spanning middle market, large property, flood, builders’ risk, and terrorism lines.
Prior to that, he was Vice President – Property Practice Leader at QBE North America, responsible for large account property underwriting operations on both an admitted and non-admitted basis, primarily through national retail broker markets.
He has also held positions at Crum & Forster, Citation Re, Gen Re, and Wesfarmers Insurance.
